Requests are reviewed according to purpose, requester organization, variables, sensitivity, users, storage environment, duration, and outputs. Submission does not guarantee approval, every variable, or redistribution rights.

Submit a Data Access Request

The Center may be able to prepare a table or custom analysis where raw-file sharing is not possible. Scope, time, cost, and use rights are agreed before work begins.

Each published file has a version and date. Changes to weighting, coding, or records produce a new version and effect notice; files are not silently replaced.

Corrections, Revisions and Withdrawal Policy

Removing names is not always sufficient. Combinations of age, area, occupation, rare events, open text, and location are reviewed and may be grouped, removed, or restricted.

Users may request a more accessible file or table where published material is difficult to use, subject to rights and restrictions.

Request an alternative format

The catalogue displays only datasets actually available, with topic, year, population, scope, and access level. A file is not listed before integrity, rights, and deidentification are reviewed, and reference to a study does not imply that its data can be downloaded.

• Remove names, contact details, and direct identifiers.
• Generalize age, location, or date where necessary.
• Review rare combinations and small cells.
• Review open text and quotations.
• Assess linkage with public or other data.
• Determine whether public release is possible or restricted access is required.

Documentation identifies the appropriate analytical weight and any alternatives. A weight from another study should not be used, and strata or clusters should not be ignored where they affect standard errors. The page explains unweighted case counts and weighted estimates.

The codebook distinguishes not asked, refusal, do not know, invalid, and unavailable values. Missing values are not all treated as zero or as one category, and derived variables and their creation rules are documented.

Where a file cannot be delivered, the Center may provide a defined table, indicator, or analysis after reviewing disclosure risk, effort, and rights. Approval of one request does not establish a permanent obligation to produce every custom analysis.

Transcripts, recordings, and qualitative notes carry greater reidentification risk and may not be suitable for public download. An instrument, deidentified excerpt, coding matrix, or restricted access may be possible where consent, rights, and risk permit.

An API or interactive dashboard may be added in the future where data, technical structure, and protection are available. The launch release does not promise an API, real-time updates, or permanent coverage.

Users cite the dataset name, version, Center, access date, and official link, and distinguish their analysis from Center analysis. Variable or category names should not be changed in publication in a way that alters meaning without explanation.

A value, variable, weight, document, or privacy risk may be reported. The issue is reviewed under the Corrections Policy, and download may be suspended or a new file issued where material.
